CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Fundraising efforts to raise over $2.5 million begin Thursday to bring a Superman statue to downtown Cleveland.
The statue will depict an in-flight Superman, measuring almost 10 feet in length. The beloved comic book creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, will be alongside, peering up at the superhero. Featured with them is Jerry’s wife, who was the inspiration for Lois Lane. A phonebooth with a pile of clothes inside will complete the storytelling of the scene.
